Husqvarna Motorcycles’ designers really did a fantastic job, in bringing the Vitpilen 701 concept to production. This side-by-side comparison of the 2015 concept and 2018 Vitpilen production model truly demonstrates that.
Husqvarna VITPILEN 701
If anything Husqvarna’s designers improved upon the original concept and proved that the best things come to bikers who are patient. That’s a real saying…
VITPILEN CONCEPT & PRODUCTION – SPOT THE DIFFERENCE
SPOT THE OBVIOUS DIFFERENCES
Some of the differences are fairly obvious to spot; the replacement of the exposed cone air filter for a hidden airbox, the inclusion of regulation mirrors, reflectors and a wheel-mounted rear fender.
However, the designers seem to have taken a fastidious approach, to minimising the impact of legally mandated components to this single cylinder motor. In-turn, this has resulted in minimal disruption to the shape of the original concept.
SPOT THE SUBTLE DIFFERENCES
Where the differences are more subtle; arguably, the changes made to components on the production look better than the original concept. Mostly, these changes are comprised of slightly adjusted colour or the delicate alteration of shapes - such as the clutch casing.
All together this makes the Vitpilen 701 a joy to behold. Judge for yourselves.
