The new Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled livery, is a nineteen-eighties-inspired homage to Enduro Racing. This is the newly released Scrambler Desert Sled Black Edition, which was launched by Ducati at EICMA 2017.

No changes in technical specifications from the original white Desert Sled, but arguably a more appealing paint-scheme.
The Scrambler Desert Sled is of-course Ducati’s true off-road scrambler – so named after the bikes of the 60s and 70s that were customised to race across the Californian desert.

Bike builders in California modified their bikes (usually road-heavy, 500cc+ Harleys, Indians and later Triumphs), adding knobbly tyres, skid plates, reinforcing suspension etc. and then they raced!
DESERT SLED BLACK EDITION – AN EDURO HOMAGE
Ducati says that this livery actually pays homage to the “golden era of enduro racing 1980s”. Eighties children, will find something endearingly familiar about the tri-tone/colour detail on the tank.
