If anything Husqvarna’s designers improved upon the original concept and proved that the best things come to bikers who are patient.

Vitpilen Concept & Production: Spot The Difference

Obvious Differences

Some of the differences are fairly obvious to spot: the replacement of the exposed cone air filter for a hidden airbox, additionally, the inclusion of regulation mirrors, reflectors and a wheel-mounted rear fender.

However, the designers seem to have taken a fastidious approach towards minimising the impact of legally mandated components to this single-cylinder moto. In turn, this has resulted in minimal disruption to the shape of the original concept.

Subtle Differences

Where the differences are more subtle, arguably improvements have been. And in many instances, the changes to the components on the production look better than the original concept.

Mostly, these variances are comprised of slightly adjusted paint tone or the delicate alteration of shapes – such as the clutch casing.

Altogether this makes the Vitpilen 701 a joy to behold. Judge for yourselves.
