If you’re an MV Agusta rider or fan, you’ve likely been following PIERER Mobility AG’s financial woes story (the parent company). But here’s some news that’ll make you smile or breathe a sigh of relief: the Italian marque is now back in the MV Agusta Group’s hand.
After reaching an agreement with KTM, the Sardarov family-owned brand, Art of Mobility S.A., is free from KTM’s financial restructuring programme, meaning it can continue its operations as normal and embark on expansion plans.
MV Agusta Art of Mobility Sales 2024
For those who might not know, PIERER Mobility AG is one of Europe’s largest motorcycle manufacturers, with brands like KTM, Husqvarna and GASGAS under its umbrella. Its recent financial challenges have sent ripples through the motorcycle industry, making this MV Agusta development particularly significant.

If you’ve been following closely MV’s numbers tell a pretty solid story. The brand shipped 4,000 bikes in 2024, which is more than double their 2023 figures (116% YoY growth). And, that was while maintaining a 99% parts availability rate, for machines up to seven years old.
CEO of Art of Mobility S.A, Timur Sardarov said, “Over the past two years, the company has significantly strengthened its processes, systems, and workforce. These structural changes are the foundation of the extraordinary results achieved in 2024 “.

This move secures the dealer network which currently numbers 219 sales points and 41 service centres, with plans to bump up to 270 locations in 2025. That’s good news for MV Agusta riders – we all know how crucial dealer support can be.
Good news too, for the local workforce – Varese will remain at the heart of the brand’s operations – from initial sketches to final assembly.

With MV Agusta now free from KTM’s financial restructuring, it can focus on its development plans, including the next generation of models under their “Motorcycle Art” philosophy — and arguably, building the most beautiful motorcycles on the streets today.
